History of Colorado Visiting Nurse Association

Founded by community volunteers in 1889 as the Denver Flower Mission dedicated to comforting Denver’s sick and poor, Visiting Nurse Association was Colorado’s first home healthcare agency. More than 132 years later, Colorado VNA’s compassionate, dedicated and experienced healthcare professionals are recognized for their expert, personal medical attention and for their strong tradition of assuring continuity of care while creating warm relationships with our patients.
