VNA Leadership

President and CEO
Laura Reilly, BSN, MS, JD, LLM, MBA

Laura Reilly is the energy behind VNA’s vision to become recognized as the number one provider of visiting home care, hospice and wellness services in Colorado. She guides a medical and administrative staff of 500 employees and, with the VNA Board of Directors and VNA Senior Team, shapes agency strategies to meet the healthcare needs of the community and to ensure that the VNA is a rewarding place to work.

Named president and CEO in 2004 after serving on the VNA Board of Directors for 18 years, Laura’s interest in home healthcare began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa and a summer job with a public health department. These experiences awakened her to the difference that can be made by visiting people in their homes to assist them and their families in coping with illness, both acute and chronic.

Rounding out her experience to become an excellent leader for the Visiting Nurse Association, Laura practiced medical/surgical and private duty nursing in hospitals and homes in several states. She has a master's degree in Community Health Nursing from the University of California at San Francisco and taught nursing for two years at the University of Oklahoma, assisted in curriculum development for nursing at Rutgers University and has written several chapters for nursing textbooks.

Laura earned a law degree with honors from Rutgers University, practiced business and transactional law in Denver and practiced medical malpractice law for the University of Texas System. She also earned a Master of Law degree from the University of Denver.

Her years of advising managers at Fortune 500 companies was enhanced by a Master of Business Administration from Regis University, where she received the Stephen P. Jamieson award, given annually to a single outstanding MBA graduate.
